I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. What I Want
That is what I want most. There is no greater desire within me. There is no better request that I could ask of you. What’s that? What do you want to request from me? You know what I am going to say. Yes, I do. Make your request anyhow. I want to know you. I want to know your love. I don’t want to know you just a little bit. My request to know you is not made half-heartedly. This is not a one and done prayer me. It is my passionate and ongoing desire to know you intimately. That is very good.
What do you think I want? What is my passionate and ongoing desire for you? You want me to know you intimately. You want me to know your love. I’ll bet that you are praying for me along these very same lines. Yes, I am. So, we both want the very same thing. Yes, we do.
What can you be assured of in your desire to come to know me? If I seek you with all my heart, I will find you. You will not hide yourself from me. You will help me to come to know you. You will help me to come to live in your love. Yes, I will. What is the key concept about knowing me that you want to keep in your heart and mind? If I want to come to know you and your love, I will seek you with all my heart. That’s right.
What will happen to you as you come to know me and my love? I will be changed. Why is that? As I seek you with all my heart, I will be in your presence. I will be drawing near to you as you draw near to me. I can’t remain unchanged as I come to know you and your love. You will make me to be like you. You will change my heart. You will transform my mind. You will allow me to think your thoughts, speak your words and do your deeds. My entire life will be guided by knowing you and your love. I will desire to live my life in every way that pleases you. That will be my joy as I come to know you and love you. Yes, it will be. You can be sure of that. Thank you, Lord.
Lord, it is the desire of my heart to come to know the width, length, height and depth of your love. Let your love dwell in my heart and mind. Let your love change me. Let your love guide my thoughts, words, and deeds. Let your love guide the course of my life. Amen
