My Powerful Promises

Thank you, Lord for your powerful promises. You are right in calling my promises powerful. How have you come to this conclusion? What have my promises been doing in you? Your powerful promises have been changing my heart. Your promises have given me the desire to love you with all my heart and mind and soul and strength. Your promises have made it my hope to live a life that is good and right and pleasing to you. Your promises have made me want to live in an intimate relationship with you. That is very good. What else have my powerful promises been doing in you? Your powerful promises have been transforming my mind. Your promises have been helping me to think your thoughts. Your promises have pushed evil desires and corrupt thoughts out of my mind. Your promises have been developing your character and nature in me. That is very good. What else have my powerful promises been doing in you? Your promises have helping me to know and do your will. Your promises have been guiding me to where you want me to go. Your promises have been giving me what you want me to do. Your promises have made me able to bear fruit for your kingdom. Your promises have made me able to bring glory to your name. Yes, my powerful promises have been doing all these things in you. For that, I am thankful. For that, I am grateful. For that, I have hope and peace and joy beyond what my words can express. Thank you, Lord, for your great and very powerful promises! It pleases me to see your thankfulness and gratitude for my powerful promises.

What will you keep on doing with my powerful promises? How will you continue to take my powerful promises into your heart and mind and life? I will meet daily with you in your word. I will meditate on your promises. I will memorize your promises. I will pray and proclaim your promises. I will study and teach your promises. Your promises will continually be in my heart and on my mind. Your promises will continually be guiding my life. I will keep on taking hold of your promises so that they will keep on taking a hold on me. That will be very good.

Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 2 Peter 1:3-4 (NIV)

Power And Promises

I want to live a godly life. I want to live a life that is good and right and pleasing to you. On my own, under my own power and strength, I know that I cannot live such a life. No one is asking you to live a godly life under your own power. You will never hear such a request from me. You are right, that would be an impossible task. Do you know how I will make you able to live a life that is good and right and pleasing to me? Yes, I think I do. Let me hear your thoughts. Say out loud what is on you heart and in your mind. Your power and promises will help me to live a life that is good and right and pleasing to you. Your power and promises will help me to escape the corruption that is in the world. Yes, they will.

You have more to say. Yes, I do. You have called me to come to you. You have turned my life around. You helped me to come to know and love and follow and serve you. You have given me a burning desire to live my life with and for you. You are my Savior. You are my Lord. You have forgiven my sins. You have cleansed my unrighteousness. You have been using your power and your promises to change everything about me. How so? Your power and promises have changed the thoughts of my mind, words of my mouth and the deeds of my life. Your power and promises have formed the hopes and dreams and goals of my life. You have used your word to change my heart, transform my mind and guide my life. I now love you with all my heart and mind and soul and strength. This is not to my credit. This is not something I have accomplished. You have done this work in me. You are continuing this work in me. Yes, I have. Yes, I am. You have helped me to have a passionate desire to do what is pleasing to you. For that, I am very thankful. For that, I give you all the praise and honor and glory. That is very good.

Lord, thank you for calling me to come to you. Thank you for helping me to come to know and love and follow and serve you. Thank you that your mighty power and great promises will give me all I need to live a godly life that is good, right and pleasing to you. Amen

His Divine Power Has Given Us Everything We Need

The Spirit Empowered Life - Day 137 - 2 Peter 3:1-4 - His Divine Power Has Given Us Everything We Need - Growing As Disciples

The Spirit Empowered Life – Day 137 – 2 Peter 3:1-4 – His Divine Power Has Given Us Everything We Need – Growing As Disciples

His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.  Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.              2 Peter 1:3-4 (NIV)

Power And Promises

I want to become like you. How do you want to become like me? I want to become like you in all that I think and say and do. I want to think like you thought. I want to speak like you spoke. I want to live like you lived. I want to live the life that you have called me to live. What kind of life have I called you to live? You want me to live in an intimate relationship with you. You want me to draw near to you. In your presence you want to change my heart and transform my mind and life. What will I use to change your heart and transform mind and life? What have I given you so that you will be able to live the life I have called you to live? You have given me your power and promises to make me able to live the godly life you have called me to live. You have given me your power and promises to help me to escape the corruption that is in the world. You have given me your power and promises to help me to know and love and follow and serve you. Your power and promises have been, are now, and will continue to change my heart, transform my mind and guide my life. That is correct. This is exactly what my power and promises are doing in you. My power and promises are making you able to live the life I have I called you to live.

What must you do with my power and promises if you want to fully live the life, I have called you to live? I must rely on your power. I have no life-giving power in me. You are my source of power. I must never rely on myself if I want to live the life you have called me to live.  What about my promises? What will you do with my promises? I will take your promises deep into my heart and mind and life. I will keep your promises ever before me. I will hold on to your promises. I will live by your promises. I will put your promises into practice. You have answered well. Rely on my power and live by my promises. Remain in an intimate relationship with me. Then you will live the life I have called you to live. That I will do. That will be very good.

Lord, thank you for calling me to come to you. It has been my hope, dream, and desire to live in an intimate relationship with you. Your promises and power are transforming my heart and mind. You are helping me to live the life you have called me to live. Amen
