Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NIV)

Ask Or Imagine

It is overwhelming to think that you will do in and through me what is beyond even my ability to ask for or even imagine. It is fantastic to know that your power is at work in me. What does knowing these things encourage you to do? I am encouraged to pray more boldly. I am spurred on to ask for more from you. If you could ask for anything at all, what would be your most fervent prayer request? I want to know you. I want to know your will. I want to walk in your ways. I want to do what is pleasing in your sight. I want to bear an abundance of fruit for your kingdom. I want to bring glory to your name. I want to shine brightly as your witness in the world. I want others to see you living in and through my life. I want to fully live the life that you have called me to live. I want to be completely used by you. I want to be your faithful servant. I want to be white hot in passionate service to you. I want to live in an intimate relationship with you. I want to love you with all my heart and mind and soul and strength. If I could have all these things, I would need and ask for nothing more. Are you sure? No, I am not sure.

I would probably ask for more. I want to be able to live in a constant dialogue with you. So, every day I would be taking to you. Every day, I would be listening to you. So, I’m sure that you would show me something new and different to pray about every day. Like what? I would prayer for whatever you give me to pray. I would pray for healing and wholeness and peace in the lives of others. I would pray for people to come to know you as their Savior and Lord. I would pray for a rich harvest for your kingdom. I would pray that I would go where you guide me. I would pray that I would do whatever you ask of me. I would pray that you will boldly use my life whenever, wherever and however you desire. I would ask you to help me to keep on praying every day until I come to meet you face to face. That will be very good.

Lord, thank you that your power is at work in me. I welcome you to do in and through my life immeasurably more than I could ever begin to ask for or even imagine. Use my life to bear an abundance of fruit for your kingdom so I can bring glory to your name. Amen
