Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Becoming Like Christ – Let Us – 1 John 4-7-8 – Continue To Love One Another – Growing As Disciples

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 1 John 4:7-8 (NLT)

Make Me Able

Only you can make me able to love like you love. I can’t give like you gave. I can’t love like you love. My love always falls short. You are absolutely right when you say that you can’t give like I gave or love like I love. There is however a very important question that I want to ask you. What’s that? Do you want to give like I gave? Do you want to love others with my love? Do you want my love to flow in and through you? In every way I want to know you and your love. In every way I want your love to flow in and through my life. I want to be like a vessel that is overflowing with your love. I want your love to spill out of me so that others will want to come to you to know your love.

Do you know what it will cost you to give like I gave and love like I love? I know that the kind of love that we are talking about is not just a feeling. Giving like you gave and loving like you love requires a choice and demands taking action. What is that choice and what is that action? I must choose to be a vessel in which your love can flow in and though. I must choose to allow you to use me. I must say yes to you. I must rely on you to make me able to love others. Yes, you must rely on me to use you to love others. Then I must be willing to go where you guide me to do what you ask of me. That’s right.

This is all pretty clear isn’t it? Yes, it is very clear. You have more to say, don’t you? It’s very clear and also very scary. Why do you say that? I have no idea where you will lead me. I have no idea what you will ask of me. I wonder if I will be willing. I wonder if I will be able to love like you love. I don’t want to fail. I don’t want to say no. I don’t want to disappoint you. I want to be used by you however, whenever and wherever you call me. But, you have already said that you will rely on me. Yes, I will rely on you. Do you believe that I can make you able to give like I gave and love like I love? Yes Lord, I believe in you. Then you have nothing to worry about. Rely on me. Yes Lord, I will rely on you.

Lord, loving others has not been my strong suit. My ability to love others falls short. Only you can make me able to love others with your love. Only you can make me able to love difficult and seemingly unlovable people. Let your love flow in and through me. Amen

Spy Out The Land

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide - Let Us - Deuteronomy 1-22-25 - Spy Out The Land - Growing As Disciples

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Let Us – Deuteronomy 1-22-25 – Spy Out The Land – Growing As Disciples

Then all of you came to me and said, “Let us send men ahead to spy out the land for us and bring back a report about the route we are to take and the towns we will come to.” The idea seemed good to me; so I selected twelve of you, one man from each tribe. They left and went up into the hill country, and came to the Valley of Eshcol and explored it. Taking with them some of the fruit of the land, they brought it down to us and reported, “It is a good land that the LORD our God is giving us.”Deuteronomy 1:22-25 (NIV)

Rely On Me

If I give you a big assignment do you think it would be a good idea to scope out in great detail what I am asking you to do for me before you begin? It might be a good idea. Why is that? It might be good to know and understand exactly what you are asking me to do for you. You don’t sound very confident in your answer. That’s because I’m not at all confident in my answer. Why is that? If what you are asking of me seems too difficult I might shrink back and not step forward to do what you are asking of me. I might look at the size of the assignment and my limited abilities and think that you couldn’t possibly be asking me to do what you are really asking me to do. Have you ever shrunk back and not moved forward to do what I have asked of you? Yes, I’m sure that I have turned and run away from what you were calling me to do for you. So, scoping out the size of an assignment I am giving you might be a bad idea? It would be if I don’t respond to the challenge with my full faith and trust in you. When have you been successful in taking on an assignment that I have given to you? I have most often been successful when I have said yes to you without knowing all the details of what you were asking of me. In that way I have not been overwhelmed by the size of the assignment that you have given to me. The assignment from you was just as challenging but I took it on with one step at a time as I placed my full faith and trust in you. With every step I relied on you. With every step I kept my eyes on you. I did not look at the size of your assignment. I did not consider my weakness or inabilities. Instead, I relied on you for your help. That is very good.

What would you do if I told you to scope out the assignment that I was giving to you? I would do whatever you ask of me. Why might I ask you to scope out an assignment that I was giving to you? I think you might want me to know the size of the assignment so I would know right from the start how much I would need to rely on your help to complete the assignment. That’s right. What else? You might also want me to know the length of the assignment so I would know right from the start how much I would need your strength and endurance to complete the work. Yes, that is also right. In every assignment I know I will need to rely on you for your help so that I will have the strength and endurance to do whatever you ask of me. Will you rely on me? Will you go and do what I ask of you? Yes Lord, I will rely on you. That will be very good.

Lord, I know that you have and you will again call on me to go and do what is difficult and even beyond my own abilities. I know that you want me to rely on you for your strength. I will keep my eyes on you, instead of on problems, as I trust you for your help. Amen

Bow Down In Worship

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide - Let Us - Psalm 95:6 - Bow Down In Worship - Growing As Disciples

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Let Us – Psalm 95:6 – Bow Down In Worship – Growing As Disciples

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;  Psalm 95:6 (NIV)

Bow Down

Do you want to bow down to worship me? Am I worthy of your praise and thanks? Are you glad in your heart about who I am and all that I have done? Yes, I want to bow down to worship you. You are completely worthy of all my thanks and praise. I am very glad about who you are and all that you have done in the world and for me. You feel a little lost as to how to worship me, don’t you? Your heart is in the right place. You just don’t know where to begin, do you? No not really. Beginning is the most important step. Your heart of thankfulness will help you to begin to worship me. How do I begin? Set a time and pick a place to begin to worship me. Will that be hard for you to do?  No, I have a time and place in mind right now. The time is right now. The place is right here. That’s very good. You’re ready right now? Yes, I am. Good, so many never get around to taking this first step. Their lives are too busy. They can never seem to find the time to draw near to me in worship. You have taken your first step of setting a time and picking a place to worship me.  Yes, I have.  The second step is very much like the first step. What’s that? Keep making time and picking a place to worship me. You will grow as you continue to worship me. Consistency and constancy will be very important if you want to learn how to worship me. Your time worshipping me will be like an unfolding journey. You will see and hear and learn new things as you continue to worship me.

I am here now. Yes, you are. What would you like to say to me? I am thankful that you have given me a heart that wants to worship you. I am thankful that you want me to know you. I am thankful that you have placed a burning desire in my heart to want to know you. I am thankful that you love me. I am thankful that you have placed a passion in my heart to love you. I am thankful that you are my Father and I am your child. You speak to me so that I can hear you. You teach me what you want me to know. You lead me through life. You hold on to me as I hold on to you. You guard and guide my life. You counsel me. You are molding and shaping me into the person that you want me to be. You have a purpose and plan for my life to fulfill. You have given me gifts and talents and abilities with which I can serve you. You will use me to bring glory to your name. You will bear fruit for your kingdom through my life. For all of these things I am so thankful and grateful. You are so good to me. You continually show me your kindness, mercy and love. You have given me a life to live with and for you. Yes, I have. Here I am now, bowing down to give you all my thanks and praise. Teach me how to worship you. Yes, I will. Keep coming to me. Yes, I will. That will be very good.

Heavenly Father, you are worthy of all my praise and worship. I will stop and make time to bow down in worship before you. It is my joy to express my worship to you for who you are and all you have done. I love you with all my heart, mind, soul and strength. Amen

Go Up

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide - Let Us - Genesis 35:3 - Go Up - Growing As Disciples

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Let Us – Genesis 35:3 – Go Up – Growing As Disciples

Then come, let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone.” Genesis 35:3 (NIV)

Remember

Do you have a short memory? Do you quickly forget what I have done for you? Do you easily move on and take for granted all that you have received from me? Do you live with the constant awareness that I have richly blessed your life? Is your heart and mind filled with thanks and praise that you would like to offer to me? Those are all good questions. I need to stop and take time to consider my answer to every one. I’m sure that I fall far short of giving you all the thanks and praise that you so richly deserve. I know that I often loose sight of all that you have done for me. Yes, I have taken your blessings for granted. My heart is not always filled with thanks and praise to you for all that you have done for me. Forgive me. You are forgiven.

Why do you think that I am asking you these questions? Do you think I really need all your thanks and praise? Is it me that is missing out on something when you don’t offer me all your thanks and praise? What do you miss out on when you don’t stop to remember and give thanks and praise to me for all that I have done in your life? I’m not sure. How is it even possible that you can forget to thank and praise me for all that I have done and am doing in your life? I don’t thank and praise you when I am distracted by life. Exactly. In my busyness I often don’t even notice all the different ways that you are hearing and answering my prayers and blessing my life. That’s true. It’s like I’m blind to what you are doing in and through my life. That’s not good. I can see that now. So, what are you missing out on when you are failing to give me thanks and praise? I am missing out on the consciousness of your presence. Yes, you are. The amount of thanks and praise that I am offering to you is like a barometer of the intimacy of our relationship. Yes, it is. When I am living in close fellowship with you praise and thanks will naturally or maybe supernaturally pour out of my life because I will be more fully aware of what you have done and are doing in my life. Yes, it will. I will trust and rely on you more. My faith will grow stronger. I will be filled with joy in knowing that you have been and will be with me throughout every twist and turn and up and down in life. Yes, I will. For that I give you all my thanks and praise! That is very good.

Lord, you have been with me through all the times of great trouble and distress I have gone through in life. I have been able to hold on to you as you have held on to me. Thank you for hearing and answering all my prayers. You have been so very good to me. Amen

Reason Together

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide - Let Us - Isaiah 1:18 - Reason Together - Growing As Disciples

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Let Us – Isaiah 1:18 – Reason Together – Growing As Disciples

Come now, let us reason together,” says to the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. Isaiah 1:18 (NIV)

Know And Follow

Let’s have a conversation. I want you to draw near to me. I want you to know me. I want you to live in an intimate relationship with me. I want you to live your life with and for me. I want to use you for my kingdom and glory. I want to bear an abundance of fruit through your life. I want to shine brightly as my witness in the darkness of this world. I want exactly what you want. I want to listen to your voice as you speak to me. I will draw near to you so you can draw near to me. I want you to know me and me to know you intimately. Nothing would please me more than to be used by you. I have no higher purpose or goal in life than to want to be used by you so I can bear an abundance of fruit for your glory. It is my prayer that you will set is me on fire so I can shine brightly for you. It is my hope that many will be drawn to you through what you will do in and through my life. We are in full agreement then? Yes, I believe that we both want exactly the same thing.

Is there anything that could get in the way of what you and I both want? Is there anything that could hinder all that you want to do in and through my life? What do you think? I’m sure that you already know the answers to your questions. I might. Tell me what is on your heart and in your mind. You have drawn me to you. I have turned away from my sins. I have asked for and received your forgiveness and cleansing from my sin. You have given me the gift of salvation. Yes, I have. You are my Lord and Savior. Yes, I am. I am following you. I have fully devoted my life to you. That is why I want what you want. That is why I even know what you want. Yes, it is. You have made me alive to you and dead to sin. I have been set free because of all that you have done for me on the cross. That’s right. What else do you want to say? I’m still thinking about the possibility of anything hindering the work that you want to do in and through my life. It is my prayer that nothing will ever hinder the work you want to do in and through me. I believe that you will keep drawing me to you and I will keep coming to you. I believe that you will keep working in my life and I will continue to allow you to work in my life. I believe that you will fulfill the desires that you have placed in my heart. I believe that you will strengthen me against temptation so that I will continue to live dead to sin and alive to you. You are both my Savior and my Lord. Yes, I am. I believe that you will guard and keep me by your power. Yes, I will. I believe that nothing will ever be able to thwart the work that you want to do in and through my life as I follow and serve you. Yes, that’s right. I will accomplish all my purposes and plans for your life as you follow and serve me. You will know and follow me wherever I lead you to do whatever I ask of you. Yes, I will.

Heavenly Father, thank you that I can talk to you about my sin. I will turn from all my sin. Thank you, for sending Jesus Christ as my Savior so I can be forgiven and cleansed of all my sin. Thank you that I can now come to know and follow you. Amen

Put Aside Deeds Of Darkness

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide - Let Us - Romans 13:12-14 - Put Aside Deeds Of Darkness - Growing As Disciples

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Let Us – Romans 13:12-14 – Put Aside Deeds Of Darkness – Growing As Disciples

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature. Romans 13:12-14 (NIV)

Put Off, Put On

You live in a world filled with darkness. You are surrounded by people who love darkness and are attracted to evil.  This is not true of you, at least not now. You have put off darkness and evil as if they were stinky smelly old clothes. You are no longer attracted to your old life and its values, patterns and practices, is that true? Yes, I have put off darkness and evil. They no longer attract me like they once did. At one time I was like a sleepwalker walking through the sin and evil of this world. I knew nothing else. I was attracted to evil and darkness. My thoughts, words, and deeds were continually evil. You didn’t say evil and darkness have no attraction to you, did you? No, I did not. It is good that you realize that you will always be subject to temptation and evil as long as you are in this life. Why is that? Your awareness will keep you on guard against evil and darkness. Do you know where evil and darkness will attempt to attack most often? Yes, I do. Tell me. Evil and darkness will first attempt to attack me in my thoughts. Yes, that’s right. Evil and darkness will try to corrupt my thoughts, words, and deeds. But the entry that evil and darkness will seek into my life will most often be through my mind. So, what won’t you do? I won’t allow myself to entertain thoughts about how I might gratify the desires of my sinful nature. I like how you used the word entertain, why did you choose that word? An evil thought may enter my mind. I won’t let evil stay in my mind by showing it hospitality by entertaining it. Evil will be shown the door the second I become aware of its presence. Will you have the same attitude toward evil words and evil deeds? Yes, I have and will continue to separate myself from anything that I know is not pleasing to you. So, you will put off every evil thought, word and deed? Yes, That’s right. That will be very good.

You must realize that you are not alone in putting off evil thoughts, words and deeds from your life. You can never win your battle by your own strength. You must rely on my word and my Spirit to fight in you, with, and for you against evil. You must rely on me. You don’t have to convince me. I have fought and lost many battles against evil by using my strength alone. I know that will never work. What will you put on? I will put on the armor that you have given to me. I will put on the new life of righteousness that you have given to me wear. I will allow your word to dwell in me richly. I will allow your word to strengthen and sustain me against every attack of evil and darkness. I will live the life that you have called me to live. I will live and walk in the light with you. My eyes will be fixed on you. I will be drawn to you and drawn away from evil and darkness. I will put on good thoughts, words, and deeds that you have given me to think, say, and do. Then you will be living fully in the light with me. Yes, I will. That will be very good.

Lord, I will put off deeds of darkness. I will put on the armor of light you provide so I will be able to stand against evil in the world. I will clothe myself with your righteousness so I will be able to live and walk in the light with you. Amen

Keep In Step With The Spirit

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide - Let Us - Galatians 5:25-26 - Keep In Step With The Spirit - Growing As Disciples

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Let Us – Galatians 5:25-26 – Keep In Step With The Spirit – Growing As Disciples

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. Galatians 5:25-26 (NIV)

In Step

When you gave your life to me I put my Spirit in you. You were born again to a new life with me. You are now following me. You are listening to my voice speaking to you. You are meeting with me in my word. The work that I began in you is ongoing and I will bring it into completion when we see each other face to face. You are the work of my hands. I am molding and shaping your life. I am making you into the person that I want you to be. How does all this sound to you? All that you have done, are doing and will do for me is wonderful beyond compare. It gives me great joy to know that I am a work in your hands. It is the desire of my heart to know you. I wait attentively to hear your voice speaking to me. It is my delight to meet with you in your word. I am excited to see the changes that you are making in my life. I welcome all the work that you want to do in and through me. I am your servant. You are my child. Yes, you are my Father. I do find meaning and purpose in serving you. I like doing the work that you have given me to do for you. I want to bear fruit for your kingdom and your glory. I want to fulfill the purposes and plans that you have for my life. Yes, I can see that and you will fulfill the purposes and plans I have for your life as you follow me. Let’s talk more about that. I would be happy to talk about that.

What threats do you see to your listening to me and keeping in step with my Spirit? Busyness is a big threat. How so? If I allow myself to become too busy with my life in this world I might not take time to meet with you. Noise is another threat. Tell about that. If I don’t quiet myself before you the noise from this life will make it so I cannot hear all that you have to say to me. You’ve got that right. Hurry is also another threat. If I race through life I will I will run right on by what you want me to see. Yes, you will. Let’s talk more about your pace in life. I want you to keep in step with me. If you are too busy, allowing your life to be filled with noise or are always in a hurry will you be able to keep in step with me? No, I will not. I will either lag behind you or run ahead of you. I will not know where you are leading me. I will not know what you are asking me to do for you. Why is that?  I won’t be able to hear your instructions or see your guidance. No, you will not. Will you be very careful to keep in step with me? Yes, I will.

Holy Spirit, I neither want to run ahead or lag behind your leading in my life. I want to keep in step with you. Help me to leave behind the acts of the sinful nature. Develop your fruit in me as I follow you to where you lead me. Work in and through my life. Amen

Not Sleep

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide - Let Us - 1 Thessalonians 5:6 - Not Sleep - Growing As Disciples

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Let Us – 1 Thessalonians 5:6 – Not Sleep – Growing As Disciples

So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. 1 Thessalonians 5:6 (ESV)

Awake

Be completely awake to me. Listen attentively to my word. Make yourself fully available to me. You are describing the kind of life that I want to live with you. I want to walk with you. I want to hear your voice. I want to recognize and see all that you are doing in the world around me. I want every step of my life to be guided by you. I don’t want to hold anything back from you. I want to go where you guide me. I want to do what you ask of me. Yes, I will make myself fully available to you. Yes, I will listen attentively to your word. Yes, I will be completely awake to you. I’m here right now to listen to all that you have to say to me. I will keep coming to you each and every day. I will draw near to you. I know that you will draw near to me. Yes, I will.

Can I tell you something? Yes, go right ahead, I’m listening. I’m impatient. Do you think that comes as a surprise to me? No, I’m just stating the obvious. Tell me about your impatience. I know that you have given me an overpowering desire to know and love you. I know that you have given me an insatiable hunger for you. I know that you have set me on fire so that I want to shine brightly as a light in the world for you. You don’t have to worry about me spiritually sleep walking through life. No, I’m sure that I wont have to worry about that. You have fully welcomed me into your heart and mind and life. Yes, I have. But, I am impatient. What are you impatient about? You know. Yes, I do know. I want all that you want me to have. I want to be all that you want me to be. I want to do all that you want me to do. You want all of what I have for you right now at this very moment, is that right? You want to be all that I want you to be right now? You want to do all that I have given you to do right now? I would have thought so until I just heard you ask me those questions. Have you changed your mind? Yes, I have changed my mind. Why is that? I know that I need to trust your timing. I know that I should not run ahead of you or lag behind you. You want me to keep in step with all that you want to do in me, with me and for me. Yes, I do. Will you trust me? Will you rely on me? Will you attentively watch and what for all that I will do in and through you for my kingdom and my glory? Yes Lord, I will keep in step with you. Yes, I rely on you and your timing. That will be very good.

Lord, I want to be awake and alert to all you are doing in the world around me. I will be on guard against anything that might cause me to spiritually sleep walk through life. Help me to passionately love, follow and serve you as I eagerly wait for your return. Amen

Live Up

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide - Let Us - Philippians 3:15-16 - Live Up- Growing As Disciples

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Let Us – Philippians 3:15-16 – Live Up- Growing As Disciples

Only let us live up to what we have already attained. Philippians 3:16 (NIV)

In Step With Me

Keep moving forward with me. Forget the past. Don’t look back. Keep your eyes on me. Watch where I am leading you. Listen to what I am teaching you. I thought you wanted me to remember the past. Yes, I do. I want you to remember what I have taught you. I want you to hold on to what you have learned. I want you to remember all that I have done for you. I want you to remember how I have worked in and through your life. Those parts of our past together you will do very well to remember. You will be encouraged and spurred on by what I have already done in your life. What from my past do you want me to forget? You tell me. I’m not sure. Take a guess. I think you want me to leave behind anything that would hinder me from following you right now. I think you want me to forget what you have forgiven and forgotten. Like what? You want me to leave behind the baggage of my old life before I met you. You want me to leave behind my old sins, setbacks and failures. You want me to let go of anything that has discouraged and depressed me in the past. Yes, I do.

Think of your life in this way. There are many things to let go of that will weigh you down. There are many things to hold on to that will help you to keep in step with me. Like what? Hold on to me. Hold on to what I have done for you. Hold on to how I have worked in and through your life. Hold on to my word. Hold on to all that I have taught you. Hold on to the people that I have brought into your life. Hold on to what I have given you to do for me. Will you do that? Yes Lord, I will. Then let go of anything that will hinder you from keeping in step with me. You have already mentioned some of these hindrances. Let go of your setbacks and failures. Let go of your doubts and discouragements. Let go of condemnation. Let go of guilt and grief. There is one thing that you can be sure of. What’s that? If I am asking you to let go of something I have something else for you to hold on to instead. I’m not sure what you mean. I think you do know what I mean. If you let go of doubt what can you take hold of? As I let go of doubt I can take hold of faith. Let’s try some more.  If you let go of failure what can you take hold of? As I let go of failure I can take hold of victory that you have brought into my life. Yes, you can. Let’s try another. If you let go of sin what can you take hold of? As I let go of sin I can take hold of the forgiveness and cleansing I have in you. Yes, you can. You now have the idea. Let go of what I don’t want you to carry so you can hold on to what I have done, am doing and will do in your life. Then you will be able to keep in step with me. Will you do that? Yes Lord, I will.

Lord, thank you for directing my life. You have been my counselor and my guide. You have taught me what I needed to know. You have led me where I needed to go. Help me to hold on to you and keep in step with all you are teaching me as I follow you. Amen

Discipleship Devotional Study Guide – Let Us – Ephesians 4:25 – Tell Our Neighbor The Truth- Growing As Disciples

So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. Ephesians 4:25 (NLT)

Words Of Truth

I will set aside my old life and all its patterns and practices. I will leave behind all that I once thought. I will leave behind all that I once said. I will leave behind all that I once did. I’m asking you to completely transform my heart and mind. Make me completely new on the inside so that I will be able to live a new life on the outside. I have done that for you. You will never again have any need to put back on the dirty clothes of your old life. Those old and smelly rags will have no appeal to you. I will use my word to transform and renew your heart and your mind. You will think my thoughts. You will speak my words. You will do my will. Your old life will have no power over you. You have been set free in me.

I don’t want there to be anything false in me. I want your word to dwell in me richly so that I can live the life that you have given me to live. I don’t want to say one thing and do another. I want my life to be in alignment with your will and your ways. I don’t want there to be anything hidden about me. I don’t want to say that I am one thing and be another. I want my life to shine as a bright witness for you in the world. I want others to be drawn to you through what they see of you in me. I know that I will never be perfect. I will sin. I will make mistakes. I will think, say, and do what I wish I hadn’t. But, I will never give up. I will never go back. I will never quit. I will keep walking with you. I will keep allowing you to mold and shape me into the person that you want me to be. I will allow you to work in and through my life. Yes, you will.

I would like you to speak through the words of my mouth. No longer will I tell lies. No longer will I shade the truth. Fill my mouth with words of truth. Give me loving and life giving words. Speak your words in and through my life. Help me to encourage and build others with your words. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight. Use all my words to bring about unity and create trust. I want to say what you will give me to say. Use my words for your glory. Yes, I will.

Lord, I will set aside all falsehood. I will put off my old life. I will put on the new life that you have given me to live. Give me your words to speak. Help me to speak loving words of truth that will encourage and build up others in the body of Christ. Amen
